Frequently asked questions
Can't find your question? Just ask, we're happy to help.
What is the Achaté Cycle?
The Achaté Cycle is our free rewards programme. You earn points on everything you buy, unlock better and better rewards, and get first access to new products. Because we think cleaning should pay off.
How do I join?
You already have. Every Achaté account is automatically enrolled, free of charge. Ordered from us before? Then your account is ready and waiting. Activate it to see your balance and start redeeming points.
I've ordered before. Do I get points for my past orders?
Yes. We've added points retroactively to qualifying orders you've already placed, so most returning customers will find a balance waiting the first time they log in. Sign in with the email address you ordered with to see it.
What does "activate my account" mean?
Points are added to your account automatically. To spend them, you log in once and activate your account. That confirms it's you and switches on redemption at checkout. No password needed: we send you a secure login link by email.
Does it cost anything?
No. The Achaté Cycle is free to join and free to stay in. No membership fees and no minimum spend.
What if I checked out as a guest?
Points are linked to an account. Checked out as a guest? Create an account with the same email address and we'll do our best to match your order to it. Creating an account also earns you 20 points on its own.
Where can I see my points balance?
In your Achaté account, on this Achaté Cycle page and in your Apple Wallet pass if you've added it. When you have points to spend, your balance also shows at checkout.
How do points work?
You earn 1 point for every €1 you spend. Each point is worth €0.05 when you redeem it, so 20 points = €1 and 100 points = €5.
Do all purchases count towards points?
You earn points on the product value of your order after any discounts, and before shipping and VAT. Shipping costs, shipping insurance and gift cards don't earn points. Points are awarded once your order has been dispatched.
Do I get extra points on my spray subscription?
Yes. You always earn faster on subscription orders: from 1.25 points per €1 at The Minute up to 2 points per €1 at The Season. Starting a subscription also earns you a one-off 100 points.
What counts as a "device"?
All our electric cleaning devices, such as the handheld steam cleaner, steam cleaner, stick vacuum, robot vacuum, wet & dry vacuum cleaner, spot cleaner, electric mop, electric window cleaner and cleaning brush. Sprays, accessories and spare parts don't count as devices.
When do points appear in my account?
Points for orders appear once your order has been dispatched. Points for actions like following us or writing a review usually appear within a few minutes. Still nothing after 48 hours? Get in touch and we'll sort it out.
Is there a limit to how many points I can earn?
There's no cap on points from purchases. Some one-off actions can only be completed once, and reviews and social mentions are limited to 1 per quarter, so the programme stays fair for everyone.
Can I earn points on orders placed outside achate.com?
Yes. Bought an Achaté product at bol.com or Amazon? Upload your receipt and we'll add the points to your account. Go to the Achaté Cycle, choose "Upload a receipt" and add a photo of your invoice or order confirmation.
It needs to clearly show the retailer, the purchase date, the Achaté product and the price. We review uploads within three working days and the points appear as soon as they're approved.
