More about robot vacuum cleaners

Everything you want to know before choosing a robot vacuum cleaner: whether it suits your home, how the mopping function works and which smart features make cleaning easier.

Is the Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner right for you?

The choice depends on your floor type, the size of your home and whether you have pets. Do you mainly have hard floors such as tiles or laminate? Then the combination of vacuuming and mopping in one run is very convenient.

The mopping function works with clean water from the water tank and makes a separate mopping round unnecessary. On carpet, the device switches automatically: the robot lifts the mop so your carpet stays dry.

Vacuuming and mopping in one go

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner is equipped with a mopping function, so it not only vacuums but also mops the floor. Suitable for hard floors in the kitchen and bathroom.

The robot has a 260 ml water tank and mops with clean water, without detergent. Via the app you set schedules and define zones. Choose which rooms it should mop and which not.

Ideal for larger homes and pets

For larger homes, battery capacity matters. With a runtime of 180 minutes on a 3200 mAh battery, the Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner gets through most households on a single charge. If the battery runs out halfway, the device recharges itself and then continues where it left off.

Cat and dog hair quickly gathers on floors, under furniture and in corners. The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner delivers 15 kPa suction power, enough to pick up pet hair from both hard floors and carpet. The side brushes reach corners and skirting boards where hair accumulates.

Schedule the device daily via the app and you will notice far less hair on your floor. The 200 ml dust container is emptied after every cleaning run via the automatic emptying system in the base station, so you don't have to empty the dust bin every time.

Smart navigation, sensors and app control

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner uses LiDAR laser navigation with map storage — lasers instead of a camera — and moves through every room systematically. AI object detection helps the device avoid obstacles and reach spots you would easily miss with a regular vacuum cleaner.

Suction power determines how thoroughly the device cleans. The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner delivers 15 kPa of suction power, more than enough for carpets and pet hair.

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner can be controlled via the app on your smartphone, for iOS and Android. You can set cleaning schedules, define zones and start the device remotely.

Automatic emptying station, size and maintenance

The base station has an automatic emptying system with a 3-litre dust bag. It lasts about a month, depending on your household. After a cleaning run, you only need to replace the dust bag periodically. That means less work than emptying a small container every day.

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner weighs 3.13 kg and measures 33 x 33 x 9.5 cm. Compact enough to easily drive under furniture. Side brushes sweep dirt from corners and along skirting boards towards the suction inlet.

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner runs at 67 dB. For comparison: a standard vacuum cleaner usually produces 75 to 80 dB. So the device stays in the background while you work or watch television.

A robot vacuum cleaner needs regular maintenance to keep working properly. Think of cleaning the filters, checking the brushes for wear and keeping the sensors free of dust and dirt. The charging time of the Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner is 6.5 hours for a full charge.

Why buy a robot vacuum cleaner from Achaté?

At Achaté we are happy to help you make the right choice. The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner vacuums, mops and empties itself via the automatic emptying station with a 3-litre dust bag. LiDAR laser navigation with map storage ensures systematic cleaning of every room, and via the app you control the device remotely.

How often do you need to replace the dust bag of the emptying station?

With daily use, you replace the dust bag of the emptying station about once a month. The dust bag in the base station has a capacity of 3 litres. In households with pets this can be shorter due to the extra hair. Replace the bag when it is full and regularly check that the suction power is not decreasing.

Can the Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner also mop on carpet?

The Achaté Robot Vacuum Cleaner automatically lifts the mop on carpet, so the carpet stays dry and the robot switches to vacuuming only.

How long does a robot vacuum cleaner last?

With regular maintenance, a robot vacuum cleaner lasts several years. Replace filters and brushes according to the manufacturer's recommendations and clean the sensors regularly. Problems usually arise from overdue maintenance, not from wear of the device itself. Also check the condition of the side brushes and the rubber wheels.
