Vacuum and mop without a double cleaning round

This type of floor cleaner combines two jobs you'd normally do one after the other. The device picks up dry dirt and cleans the floor with water at the same time. So you don't have to grab the vacuum first and then come back with a bucket and mop.

That's practical in a household where crumbs, muddy footprints or spilled drinks come up regularly. You handle dry and lightly wet dirt in the same round and don't have to go through the room later with a separate mop.

A complete mopping system shouldn't just pick up dirt, but also prevent you from spreading it across the floor. That's why the separation between clean water and dirty water matters. The device applies clean water where needed and collects the used water again. So you work on a clean floor in the same round, without constantly wringing out a mop.

The Achaté Wet & Dry Vacuum V2 for daily use on dry and wet dirt

The Achaté Wet & Dry Vacuum V2 is meant for households that clean hard floors regularly. The motor has a power of 170 watts and you choose between two settings with 9 or 12 kPa suction power. The stated runtime is 40 to 50 minutes, and a full charge takes 5.5 to 6 hours.

The clean water tank holds 500 milliliters and the dirty water tank 450 milliliters. The V2 also has an LED display, drive assist and an electrolyzed water function. The head rotates up to 180 degrees, can be laid flat, and supports edge cleaning along one side. That makes it easier to move around furniture and reach lower spots too.

Rollers, filters and cleaning products for thorough cleaning and maintenance

The system keeps working better when you regularly take care of the roller, filter and tanks. Remove hair from the cleaning roller, rinse loose parts according to the manual, and let them dry completely before putting them back. Replace wear parts once they no longer clean properly.

Want to give the floor a fresh clean? Only use a product that's suitable for the device and your floor type. Achaté's floor cleaner was developed for floor maintenance. Always dose according to the instructions, and never just use a strongly foaming cleaning product in the tank.

From breakfast crumbs to wet footprints

A vacuum with a mopping function suits recurring dirt on hard floors especially well. You use it, for example, for:

  • crumbs, dust and hair in the kitchen or living room
  • light wet spots and spilled drinks
  • footprints by the front or back door
  • daily floor maintenance in a household with children or pets
  • a quick cleaning round without a separate bucket and mop

Not every floor calls for the same amount of water. So always check your floor's care instructions. With glued floors and moisture-sensitive materials, work carefully and don't leave water standing.

For stubborn or caked-on dirt that needs extra soaking to loosen, a steam cleaner might suit the job better. For floor maintenance without a vacuum function, take a look at the electric mops.

Which Wet & Dry Vacuum suits you best?

First look at your daily cleaning routine. The Achaté Wet & Dry Vacuum V2 is especially suited to households with lots of hard flooring that regularly gets dust, hair and light stains. During that cleaning round, you don't have to switch between a vacuum cleaner and a mop.

Keep these points in mind when choosing:

  • Floor type. Check whether your floor is suitable for damp cleaning.
  • Runtime. The stated 40 to 50 minutes suits a more extensive cleaning round; the actual result depends on the setting you choose.
  • Separate water tanks. The V2 combines a 500-milliliter clean water tank with a 450-milliliter dirty water tank.
  • Maintenance. Check how you clean the roller, filter and tanks, and which parts are replaceable.
  • Storage. Make sure there's a fixed spot near an outlet where the device and loose parts can dry.

If your home mostly has dry dirt or a lot of carpet, also compare Achaté's vacuum cleaners. That way you choose based on your floors, not just the number of functions.

Can I vacuum only, without mopping?

Whether you can vacuum only with the Achaté Wet & Dry Vacuum V2, without actively mopping, depends on the available operating modes. Check the current product information and manual for this. For dry dirt only or lots of carpet, a regular vacuum cleaner is often the more targeted choice.

Is the Wet & Dry Vacuum suitable for laminate, vinyl, tiles, hard floors and carpet?

The Wet & Dry Vacuum is suitable for various hard floors, including laminate, vinyl and tiles, as long as the floor may be cleaned with moisture. Always check the floor manufacturer's care instructions, especially for glued vinyl or moisture-sensitive seams. Don't use the mopping function on carpet. Choose a device or mode intended for dry vacuuming only instead.

Does the Wet & Dry Vacuum leave a lot of moisture behind, or does the floor dry quickly?

The Wet & Dry Vacuum leaves a light film of moisture, comparable to regular mopping. How quickly the floor dries depends on the mode used, ventilation, temperature and floor type. Work calmly and don't leave puddles behind. Afterwards, empty the dirty water tank, clean the roller and let loose parts dry. This keeps the system fresh for the next cleaning session.

Does a wet and dry vacuum cleaner also work well on stubborn dirt?

A wet and dry vacuum cleaner works especially well on everyday grime, light stains and small spills. Old or caked-on dirt may need extra treatment first. Let suitable dirt soak in briefly according to your floor's care instructions, then go over the spot again. For surfaces that can handle steam, a steam cleaner can be a sensible alternative for more stubborn dirt.

Do I need to use a cleaning product, or just water?

You can use the Wet & Dry Vacuum with water. If you want to add a cleaning product, only choose a floor cleaner suitable for the device and your floor type. Don't use strongly foaming or aggressive products, as they can damage the system or the floor. Always follow the recommended dosage. More product doesn't automatically give a cleaner result, and actually makes rinsing harder.
