Robot vacuum

Find setup steps, maintenance tips, common problems, and spare parts for your Robot vacuum.

First use

  1. Place the charging station against a wall on a hard, level floor. Keep 0.6 m clear on both sides and 1.5 m in front, not right beside a door or staircase, and with good Wi-Fi coverage.
  2. Put the docking pad in front of the station. It protects your floor when the robot returns with a damp mop.
  3. Charge the robot fully first. It arrives partly charged.
  4. Click the mop pads onto the holders and fill the water tank with clean, cold water.
  5. Connect it to the Smart Life app and let it map your home once.
  6. Always start from the charging station, and leave the mopping function off for the first run.

Use & functions

  1. On/off: press and hold. A short press starts cleaning.
  2. Pause: press any button. The return button sends it back to the charging station.
  3. In the app: maps for multiple floors, virtual walls, zones, schedules, five suction levels and three water levels.
  4. Mopping: clean, cold water only. No bleach or detergent — it damages the pump. On carpet it lifts the mop holders automatically.
  5. Automatic emptying: after every run the charging station empties the dust bin into the 3-litre dust bag.
  6. If the battery runs low mid-clean, it returns to charge and then picks up where it stopped.

After use & maintenance

  1. Remove the mop unit straight after mopping, empty the water tank and let it dry.
  2. Wash the mop pads by hand in clean water and let them dry completely.
  3. Empty the dust bin daily. Clean the filter, main brush, side brush, sensors and front wheel weekly.
  4. Replace the filter, brushes and mop pads every 3 to 6 months.
  5. The HEPA filter is not washable: tap it out gently only. No water, soap, brush or compressed air.
  6. Do not descale. Vinegar and descalers damage the robot — use distilled water instead.
  7. Leave it on the charging station when you're not using it. That's best for the battery.

Common problems

1. Won't switch on

  • Battery empty. Place it on the docking pad, aligned with the contacts, and charge. Use it between 0 and 40 °C.

2. Won't charge

  • Is the station in a working socket and is the light on? Clean the charging contacts.

3. Can't find the charging station

  • Clear obstacles or move the station somewhere more open, and wipe the docking pad.

4. No Wi-Fi

  • Reset Wi-Fi, update the app, restart the router, check the password.

5. Noisy while cleaning

  • Something is stuck. Clean the main brush, side brush and wheels.

6. Doesn't resume after charging, or schedules don't run

  • Do-not-disturb is on. Also make sure the battery is above 20%.

7. Doesn't empty itself

  • Enable automatic emptying in the app and check the dust bag.

8. Isn't mopping wet

  • Water volume too low, tank empty, or the mopping function is off.

Safe use

  1. The robot has no drop sensors. Always place a physical barrier at stairs, balconies and level changes before letting it run.
  2. Clear away cables, cords, shoelaces, paper and light rugs. They get tangled or dragged along.
  3. Blow out candles and switch off portable heaters.
  4. Test a new floor or rug on a small area first. A floor can be slippery right after mopping.
  5. Only the mop attachment may get wet. Don't use it in or near a bath, shower or pool.
  6. Class 1 laser product: don't look into the rotating LiDAR and don't open the housing.
  7. Opening or repairing it yourself voids the warranty. Get in touch at support@achate.com.
